Julia Reynolds is the 2019 recipient of the Community-Based Learning and Scholarship Award. She is an assistant professor of music, teaching courses in elementary and secondary general music and music in special education. She is active in the field of music education and has presented research and workshops at the state, national, and international level. Her research focuses are music for special learners in primary and secondary schools, teacher training and nonverbal communication in the music classroom. She earned all three of her degrees – bachelor’s, master’s and PhD – from Florida State University.
